Blogging about infertility

Here goes some information before getting pregnant...

We are married for a year and 3 months now. At first, we're ok without a baby yet, it will come in God's time. After a few months, we wanted to have a baby. We never really plan to have or not to have a baby. If it will come, it will come. But there came a time that I don't want to have my period and just be pregnant and have a baby. A week before we got married, I was checked (yet again) by my OB for any problems. I was diagnosed then with Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS).

This year, my doctor gave me Metformin and Chlomid. I reached to a point that I'm taking up to 4 tablets of Chlomid a day. I was kind of exhausted and decided to stop for the mean time. I had an egg cell that matured but eventually, we weren't successful conquering that cell. My doctor suggested that I take an Hysterosalpingography (HSG) test to check if my fallopian tubes are free from any blockages. I was scheduled yesterday not with HSG but with Sonohysterogram (SHG). HSG is an x-ray procedure while SHG is a transvaginal ultrasound procedure. It was a painful ordeal but at least we learned that my fallopian tubes are ok with a slight blockage on my right tube.

I am now to take a higher dosage of Metformin and an additional Folic Acid medicine/vitamins. I'll stop with Chlomid but may eventually return in taking that next month. Hopefully, I won't be needing it anymore.

Crossing my fingers...
