We were at my sisters place yesterday for my niece birthday. I was looking at her stack of {K} Kerygma magazine and I’d like to share this article I found: How to Make Your Marriage Adultery-Proof (By: Vic and Ditas Espanol).

The Myths

Myth #1: Catholic or Christian couples are immune from infidelity.
Truth: Catholic or non-Catholic couples can succumb to the temptation to be unfaithful to one’s spouse. According to The Monogamy Myth by Peggy Vaughan, approximately 60% of husbands and 40% of wives will have an affair at some time in their marriage.

Myth #2: Affairs occur after many years of marriage as a result of boredom.
Truth: Affairs are more likely to occur in the first two years of marriage than after 20 years. (ME: talaga?!)

Myth #3: As long as you have a loving marriage you need not worry about an affair. Affairs occur only when there are martial or sexual problems.
Truth: Affairs can and do occur with loving, sexually functional couples. Not all affairs are sexual. It is possible to have an emotional affair. (Me: Yep!)

Myth #4: Affairs are all about falling in love with someone else.
Truth: Affairs often have nothing to do with love but have a lot to do with meeting your personal emotional needs.

So there. I’ll post Part 2 later.

After 3 years and 9 months, I’m back to being a career woman again. Pano na si Vera? Well, when we got back from the states, I tried to stay away from Vera as much as possible to make sure she gets use to being with other people like her grandma and the yayas (nannies). But next week’s going to be different since Vera actually knows that I’m just few steps away from her. I don’t know how she’s going to react when I am going to be away most of the time from Mondays to Fridays. I don’t know how I’ll feel about this move since I’m use to hearing Vera all the time. Alam nyo yun, even if you don’t see each other that often (in a day) but you know that she’s just few steps away from you is different from totally being away from her. *sigh* Bahala na si Batman. I just hope I could adjust easily well.

Thanks for this meme Joanne.
