I was not really in the mood to celebrate but for the sake of those who really wanted to celebrate it, I did.  I had fun.  As long as hubby and Vera’s with me, I’ll be fine.  But if given a choice, I wouldn’t really want to go out and celebrate. I just want to stay at home.  But I didn’t have a choice.

Anyway, my mom’s leaving for Batangas early following day so we ate at Gerry’s the day before the actual day, December 26.  We just had dinner and the kids played a little bit.  Vera really loves being with her cousins and she enjoyed the night as much as i did.

Then we went home afterward.

I was not really in the mood to get out of bed.  I was really so down and don’t want seeing people.  I got out of bed around noon when we were about to eat lunch.  Yeah, was really too tamad to even eat breakfast!

Anyway, the husband forced me to get up and go out.  We went to SM to check the price of one of the gifts I wanted from my wish list :D

Most of the stores there doesn’t have a stock so I guess it was not really meant for me.

I was not really that keen to have that thing right away. So we went home and prepared going to Church.

After the mass, hubby drag me again to ATC to check the stores there. He was really eager to get me that gift. Funny, it was probably not really meant for me since the two stores we know also doesn’t have a stock. Too bad for me right? Then I remembered this one store at the second floor and we tried to check there. Luck was with me. Or was it with hamey? :D They have a stock and much cheaper from the two other stores we tried before that. So we ended up buying it. ;) suweet!

What’s my gift?

Been too darn lazy these past few days. I can’t help it, I am really having those spells.

So anyway, I almost had a very bad Christmas eve with my mom. She drag me to this one event and promised that we will not stay long. should have known better that my mom can’t really refuse to say no to people. We ended up staying until about 8:30ish in the evening I think. I am already feeling blue this season and this made it worst. Everyone’s with their own family and there I was unhappy sitting beside my mom who doesn’t get a clue why I was almost in to tears. To put it simply, I was away from my little princess on Christmas Eve!

Well at least I got home early and saw the little princess waiting for us outside singing Jingle Bells. I almost didn’t have the urge to cook noche buena that night but since the one menu I planned preparing was really for the little princess, I cooked few minutes after arriving. It was just a simple Chicken Alfredo Sauce. I don’t know if there are some kids who, like the little princess, likes white sauce over the original spaghetti sauce. Vera loved the pasta and it’s the only thing she ate from that night until there was non left. (I think it lasted until the 26th :D).

Our other menu for noche buena was the usual: ham (a gift from my mom’s previous work), fruit salad by yaya G, Conti’s goodies from my sister, suman and fruits from Batangas and chocolates which was really just for photo opps :D

The little princess was not really in the mood. She was really sleepy but I really wanted her to experience Christmas Eve nom noman :D She didn’t eat and didn’t even have the urge to open her gifts so we opened it for her.

I invited my in-laws over lunch here at our place. All in all, the menu was great except for the Chicken Cordon Bleu. It got over cooked but I think it was due to the fact that we were rushing it that day.

For our menu, we had: Pata Tim by my mom, sugpo, lasagna by yours truly, green salad by hamey, ham from last night’s feast, chicken cordon bleu by me again, fruit salad and mud pie by yours truly again.

Amongst the menu, I never tasted the sugpo and fruit salad since i am not really fond of those food. I am more of a suaje type of shrimp girl than those big ones. I loved the lasagna (of course!) and the fresh greens hamey made. The dressing for the salad was a strawberry jam mixed with balsamic and olive oil. It was delicious! I never knew that it was possible and was kind of hesitant when hubby told me his planned dressing three days before Christmas. It was really great!

We opened more gifts for the little princess and she now at least appreciated it better today compared to last night’s experience.

We had a nice Christmas and was glad that the little princess was happy specially that baby boy, her cousin Hans, was with us during lunch. It was a tiring day but I was glad everybody liked what we had for lunch.

All the food will really make us need Stemulite.

Kamusta naman pasko nyo?
