Future Plans
My fellow blogger moms are either preparing for their kids birthday or looking for schools for their kids this coming school year. I am, on the other hand, preparing for both plus I am planning to have a birthday party for my big 3-0. Vera's birthday is on October and no, I'm not enrolling her this coming school year, I am just preparing where to enroll her for toddler or pre nursery or what ever you call it. I have to plan ahead so we can save for that. I have already made a guest list for the birthday which will probably give hamey another "heart attack". *LOL* I was thinking if Vera and I could just have a joint party since the guests that will be invited for Vera's birthday are also the ones invited on my birthday. *giggles* But no, I want it to be Vera's day. I don't want to steal her thunder. *grins*
As for the toddler school, I might just enroll her in my clients pre-school here inside the village. I already inquired and the tuition is workable. I actually want to enroll her in one of the IS school here in the south in preparation for the BIG thing. We'll see.
Ang bilis talaga ng panahon. Dati namo-morblema ako magka-anak, tapos ngayon ganito na ang iniisip ko... *grins*

Live TV
Live broadcast can really come in handy during occasions where not all people you would like to see and be able to attend the party will be there. Most live show that I have seen are more of weddings of celebrities and or parties of the celebrities kid/s. But these are live tv shows. I know a couple who got married, made use of live feeds where other people can watch thru the internet. No, they are not celebrities, they are just techie. :D

One of hamey's plan if he gets to have an extra money and time is to enroll in a culinary school. As far as I can remember (epidural working against me again!), if he could change career, he wants to be a chef. There are many culinary schools here in the Philippines and I heard from a previous coworker that her wife was enrolled in one and it costs them PHP100,000.00 for the whole school year. And according to him, it's already the cheapest among all the schools they've inquired. Ouch! It's really going to be impossible for hamey to enroll here since we don't have extra money and he definitely has no extra time for that not unless he resigns from work which is definitely not an option. I myself have been to some chef school but it did not do wonders for me. I still can't cook! *grins* But I'm still trying and hopefully one day, I can be a good cook. Enough to keep hamey and Vera healthy. :) Good luck to me! :D

OMG! Thanks R for informing me about this one. This is Xperia X1 by Sony Ericsson. According to R, this is SE's answer to Apple's iPhone with keyboard! *Drool* Price? About $1000. :D I'm now torn between getting this new phone or the Asus eee. But with a $1000 price, I'll probably just have the Asus eee. *grins*

my lucky kiss
I learned last night that we are supposed to leave this morning around 5:45AM since hamey has a 7:30AM meeting in the office. I set my alarm to 4:45AM and put Vera to sleep. At around 12 midnight, I woke up to see Vera leaning beside me from her bed. She climbed up and continued sleeping while drinking her milk beside me. I was not able to go back to sleep again and was awake for about an hour. Then I transferred Vera in her bed and I slept. Again, after 3 hours, I saw Vera climbing our bed. That's when I decided that I'm not going to work with hamey. I can't prepare at 4:45AM, I'm too sleepy. Bahala na, I'll either bring a car or ride the Makati shuttle.
Before hamey left, he kissed Vera goodbye. I was not actually expecting him to kiss me too since we are not really in good terms. Grabe! I felt guilty when he kissed me. Parang nawala inis ko! *LOL* Syempre it made me smile and nawala na antok ko! *giggle*
Anyway, at about 6:30AM, I was already downstairs and having breakfast when an idea occurred to me. I tried calling my sister who lives in BF. I'll try my luck if I can get a ride with her up to MRT Magallanes, I'll just leave my car at their place. Guess what, she told me that she'll let her driver drive me to the office. Sosyal ang lola nyo, may driver (as in nasa backseat ako)!
How will I go home? The plan was, from here, I'll take the MRT up to Magallanes and I'll meet my sister or the driver there. But then at one point, while talking to my friend I who lives near BF told me that she's driving home alone since her boyfriend E brought his own car. Aba, tingnan mo nga naman ang swerte ko! I got a free ride again. Ang saya!
I just hope my lucky kiss continues, diba I? *wink! wink!*

I heard from a friend who is into stock market that it’s a good buy now a day since everything is down. But there are actually other choices with regards to investing. One can invest through the stock market, the bank, lending it to someone (with interest), buying and selling house and lots, bonds and mutual funds and buying gold and silver bullion.
If you are or you want to get into precious metals investment, there is this one company - Monex Deposit Company which sells one. You have an option to choose from buying gold or silver with the company. You can either purchase it all in cash and “have it delivered to you through registered and insured U.S. Mail or have it stored in one of the many secured banks in the U.S.”
I think, investing in gold or other precious metals is one of the safest investments one can have. Gold has been with us for centuries and will continue raising its value for more centuries now. This, if not secures our wealth now, will help secure the future of our kids, even their kids and our next family generation.

The topic one time in one of my yahoo groups is all about this vacuum cleaner. I was just lurking on the sidelines reading all the comments and suggestions of the members participating in the topic. I can't share anything about this vacuum since I don't personally have an experience beyond it's capability as a cleaner. I just whine to my mom and was really in disbelief how expensive the vacuum cleaner was.
Anyway, upon reading the pros of this cleaner from other members, I immediately scheduled another cleaning day in our room and in the family room where Vera usually stays. At last! I had something great to say about this one. After almost a decade and one lock missing, I can say that this thing is worth it. But if I knew all about this before my mom bought it, I wouldn't let her buy it. Maybe we could just hire someone to clean our place on a regular basis or install air purifiers, get air cleaners or anything to get the place truly clean as effective as the said vacuum cleaner.

Have you ever tried using (US) movers in transferring your stuff from point A to point B? It was actually different from our "Lipat Bahay" system here in the Philippines. Well, what I actually know is that when you rent a "Lipat bahay" truck, driver and or movers are usually included in the quote. Unlike in the US, base on my experience, you only get to rent the truck - driver not included. I'm talking about small trucks about a small apartment type movers here. Anyway, you can rent movers from one city and return the rented truck in another city or the final destination as long as they have an office in the said final destination. Or you could move from one state to another. Like you could use movers New York to transfer to let say... California (*LOL*). Well, there are many options to choose from. Good thing I never dealt with this last year when we transfered from Southfield to Saginaw. I only had to pack our stuff in different boxes and that alone was tiring!

Vera's Bed

This is Vera's bed beside ours. She loves sleeping in this bed but unlike this morning, I woke up to see Vera already beside me. I think she knows it's a holiday and that she can sleep longer beside mommy.

Friends Forever Angel

Thank you for this one Farah, who I "met" in cyberspace thru a common friend, Em (who also gave me this Friends Forever Angel). It's amazing how you get to meet and have friends thru cyberspace.
Like Em, I'm passing this Friendship Angel to all the contributors (including the graduates) and readers of Wifespeaks. We are now on our third year because of them. Mabuhay ang mga misis! :)

Missing Big Bang Sa Alabang
We ate dinner in Omakase at ATC this evening and on our way home I saw the structures being built along Madrigal Avenue where it is used to be a hill and where Big Bang sa Alabang was usually situated during Christmas season. It got me thinking about Big Bang, I miss it and I wish the management will start having it again this year. If I'm not mistaken, the giant slide is its biggest attraction. I've never tried it not for fear but because my dad was so strict. I was only in grade school then and my dad won't allow me to any of those "scary" rides or attractions. The next best thing in Big Bang then was the Bahay sa Balete (am I right?), a haunted house. I remember they also have a giant maze and other usual rides found in a carnival.
I bet this will cause so much traffic in our area if it got materialized again.

more doctor update
I just got back from the ENT and she suspects that what happened has something to do with my immune system. She gave me meds for the problem since it still looks burnt and swelling though I don't feel the burning sensation anymore. Hopefully this won't occur again. I hope my suspicion is not right that this is not connected to my monthly period.
Anyway, I was suppose to see my OB but she is already on leave (for the Holy Week). I guess I have to wait until next Saturday for that. Tigas kasi ng ulo e. I was instructed to go back last February and I didn't. Now look what happened! Opo, sa susunod po pag sinabi ng doctor bumalik, babalik na po. *grins*

Just for blogging and surfing anytime anywhere! Why not just buy a new high spec laptop instead of investing with this one? Well, mine still works. I use it for blogging, surfing, chatting downloading and digital scrapping.I think this cost less than PHP20,000.00 here in the Philippines. If it weren't for U2's concert, hay...

Remember hat happened to me last week? Well, I feel better now but still have to see my endocrinologist for consultation which I did this morning. She suggested to have me tested again for PCOS by doing the LH, FH and testosterone blood test. Nope, I'm not planning to get pregnant anytime soon. According to my doctor, it's just for normalizing my metabolism (if indeed I still have PCOS). Anyway, she asked me to have a second opinion or go to an ENT specialist for my tongue problem. I was still supposed to go to work this afternoon but since my doctor advised me to see another specialist, I'm now officially absent (still have no leave privileges) from work. I'll also see my OB later this afternoon, para isang go na lang lahat. I think what happened to me may really be something hormonal. I've never experienced being so sensitive with any toothpastes or with Bactidol. And coincidentally, I had my period last week when I had my gum and tongue problem. Perwisyo.

Is it nice in Branson, Missouri? I was just checking out some Branson hotels awhile ago and was wondering why we never considered going to Missouri when we were in the US. Well, we never really had so much time for that. We were only able to go to Illinois for the Christmas holiday since my sister and aunt lives there. If we probably have more time and enough money, we could also go to hamey’s sister and aunt in New York. Or probably have a vacation somewhere else. Well, I hope hamey wins the lotto. We can then have enough money for a world tour and shopping spree for me. *teehee*

Vera is fond of riding the carousel. It is the first ride she ever tried (since it is one of the rides in Disney she is allowed to *grins*). She loves horse riding and I hope I could have her try riding a pony in Tagaytay, including myself since I haven't ridden a horse since I was a kid. Sound pathetic no? That's why I want Vera to try everything I wasn't able to do in my life. I just wish I won't be imposing things too much on her in the future, I just want the best for her.
So, what do you think? Should I invest in an equestrian clothing as early as now? Just kidding. :D

What's up with me?
Beside not having an internet connection yesterday, my tongue feels better now. :D
Anyway, I went to the dentist yesterday since I had some gum and tongue problems. The result was, the dentist told me that I have clean teeth and gums and that my problem was not localized. They think that I am having hormonal or immune system problems, hehe. It probably has something to do with the fact that my body is still adjusting from giving birth and breastfeeding. I was refer to go to an internist or to my endocrinologist for some blood work. Too bad my endocrinologist was on leave yesterday. I could have ask for her opinion on what's happening with me. Well, at least the new Alcohol free toothpaste, mouthwash and gel/ointment given to me by the dentist works. There's still a little bit pain in my tongue but at least I could eat solid food now. I've been deprived of food since Friday! I am to stay away from acidic food, salty and spicy food until my tongue heals. So that means no to calamansi juice first.
After lunch, I went to the salon for a hair cut, body waxing and a pedicure. Was suppose to have a girl's night out with J, M, G and G but M is somewhere in the South for a company event and the other G was in ER Friday night. But since I can't even talk because of my tongue problem, I asked if we can have it after holy week uness they want to listen to someone who talks with a lisp.
As for my new do, well, I'll post some pics later and I'll let you guys decide. I like it and it's not like some hair styles I had before.
Re: Body waxing, I've been meaning to post about this since last month when I first tried it. I had my legs waxed for a change. I tried it for the first time last month and it's way better than shaving. Not all the hair grew back and when some of it did, it's much lighter compared to hair that was shaved. Of course not all of my hair were pullled out thru waxing so instead of using twizzer for the "clean-up,", Ms. C used a thread. Yes! I experienced threading in my legs! It doesn't hurt that much may be because hair was being pulled one by one. It's amazing how this thing works and it can even pull very short hair. But I won't try it in my eyebrows, Ms. C said it is really different and painful. I guess, it really depends on how high your pain tolerance is. My mom, who obviously has a high pain tolerance, had facial threading yesterday! youch!
That's it! I'm going to hop now and do some "assignments"... later again guys. It's Palm Sunday guys, so don't forget to hear mass later. babushki!

We stayed in MI when hamey was assigned in the States. We had the opportunity to go to different cities and states. Too bad I was not able to go to New York where hamey’s aunt and sister are.
Anyway, we had the chance to go to California for a one week vacation before going home here in the PH. I’ve heard that there are fashion schools in Los Angeles but never actually have seen one during our trips in the city. How much is it to go to fashion schools in California now a day? Could I possibly be the next known top designer in the world? Fashion school in California would probably cost me an arm and a leg and that means I would not be found in the circle of Marc Jacobs, *LOL* wishful thinking! What do you know; I might just follow the footstep of Monique Lhuillier and be the next Filipino to be sought after by celebrities and other famous people in the world. Yeah right! :D

Jen, this post is for you
I have a secret to reveal. I have always been fascinated with office chairs ever since I was kid. I like it best when seating in an executive chair. I always love sitting in my mom or dad's office chairs and would not give the seat up that easily. That is why my mom or dad would always end up seating in a regular employee's chair. *grins* I like my dad's office chair better, it is leather and really defines you as a boss or in higher position. Yes, I feel I'm superior when seated in those chairs. But all I do is to turn the chair in circles or instead of walking; I drag it from point A to point B sometimes knocking off some office furniture.
Anyway, if any of you my readers (hopefully there are a lot of you, *grins*) are in the UK, there is an online company which provides office storage, furniture and chairs. Their chairs come with an 8 year guarantee and they ensure that each goes in to intensive testing to ensure they will last for many years. I would like to have one of those stealth mesh chair for our study room.
Jen, you might want to check the site. *grins*

The husband is sick since yesterday. I've been driving myself to work and because of that, I was not able to catch some zzzzs going to and from the office. I feel so grouchy. My brain is not working. I really have to sleep early tonight. I will have to resist the temptation of turning on my laptop tonight.

There's really something good about blogging
You know what’s good about blogging for “others”? You get to learn from it sometimes. Like this one, I never heard about mesothelioma until now and have to wiki it just to know what it really means.
Not that I’ll be working somewhere where there is asbestos, but at least I’m aware of this illness and what causes it.
Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos.

When we were looking for gifts in the bridal registry of hamey’s officemate last month, we saw that one of the requested gifts they wanted to receive was a leather office chairs which is worth almost PHP6000. I found it funny since it reminds me of how the guy expects to work even at home. I mean, why have an executive chair at home, right? Do you really intend to spend more time in your study room than with your wife? *grins*

Get your groove back
You know what’s good in the US, they have this credit scoring. Here’s a simple definition I got from wiki:
Anyway, if you are one of the not so lucky American, this company, Bad Credit Offers, offers credit cards for bad credit. Isn’t it great, there’s a company willing to give you second chance? Bad credit credit cards is a nice option to be able “get back into the groove.”
A credit score is a numerical expression based on a statistical analysis of a person's credit files, to represent the creditworthiness of that person, which is the perceived likelihood that the person will pay debts in a timely manner

Second Night
Second night sleeping in her bed...
When Vera and I went inside our room last night, she immediately got down oppose to when we were still downstairs (she'd raise her leg when you try to put her down). Then I saw her trying to climb in her bed (she couldn't since she's trying to pass thru the foot board side of the bed. That's nice, she really wants her bed. At least I know that what happened two nights ago wasn't just our luck that she tried sleeping in it. Then she start calling each character in her bed. There's Mimi (mickey), Emo (elmo), pooh-pooh (pooh, which reminds me to stop calling pooh as pooh pooh *grins*) and tootles (circle background on elmo). Then when I gave her her milk, she lay down and hugged her bolster pillow. *sigh* she's really a big girl now.
