I can say that 2007 was the year of discoveries.  First and last quarter of the year was the focal point of those discoveries.  Can you hear sarcasm?  Well, yes.  It was a bad discovery but I am not going into detail.  I want to and I am trying to forget about it. 

Anyway, we have an external hard drive which I save all my little princess’ pictures from birth to the recent ones.  I also have those copies in my previous laptop (partitioned disc).  No complete online backup for me then.  So imagine what I did when I accidentally formatted the external HD.  I forgot that I haven’t really formatted my partitioned disc + there are other data I need to salvage then so I tried.  Imagine my shock when I uprooted old unwanted deleted files.  I was super shocked!

So now, learning from that lesson, I keep 3 back-ups: the big family external hard drive, my own portable hard drive and in the family desktop. I have some copies online but not all.  At least this way, I can surely say the files are somehow safe.
