This afternoon was the dress rehearsal for the moving up day of the kids of Mindbuilders Preschool.  The little princess, who’s in pre-nursery, is part of the opening prayer together with other kids from other levels.  It’s a sign language interpretation of a song which they learned in school. 

I am one proud mom since she actually improved and lost her stage freight unlike last Christmas when they had their Christmas program from the same place, for the same crowd, though she lasted the whole program, she didn’t really perform  well but just stood up there in the stage.  It was her first ever performance for a big crowd.

I hope she really did overcome her stage freight… unlike her mommy

Few more days and summer vacation is officially starting! 

This is going to be our first moving-up day. I don’t know what to expect except knowing that Vera is part of the choir. Naks. I bet tatayo lang ulit yan sa stage and will do nothing. May stage freight ata just like mommy

On our way home (from school):

V: mommy, I will call Nathan (on the phone)
M: do you know Nathan’s number?
V: No.
… conversation goes on…
M: girls don’t call boys. Let Nathan call you first (as if naman…)
V: why?
M: (pano ko ba to epxlain) that’s the way it is, girls don’t call boys. boys call girls (and or boys)
V: ok

When we got home…

V: (getting something from her back pocket) look mommy what Nathan gave me…
M: (OMG! it’s a heart shaped paper with Vera’s name!) *himatay*

woof! woof!

My little princess was assigned to be a dog for their Noah’s Ark mini program.  Instead of buying a new costume, I just bought felt paper and made her an instant Dalmatian costume.  I also checked the internet for face paint ideas and thus the eyebrow and hanging tongue.

Can’t believe it!  Next school year, the little princess is officially in Nursery! WOW!  Time really flies so fast.
