The good news the postponed trip brings is that we are really going to try flying to * when the Vera’s a little bit older. The husband is more into going back to C but I insist on going to F since we’ve been and we’ve seen C. (more…)

We were planning for another short trip last week but decided not to go anymore and instead wait until the little princess is old enough to remember. She’d been traveling alot since she was born and we doubt she remembered all of them. Well, at least from our latest trip, she remembers her cousins from EU and that ride we had at the big ferris wheel at Prater. Not remembering she cried after mommy at Legoland when we rode the mini roller coaster. Not remembering she had fun at the super fast merry go round and every other kid and young-adult gave up going for a next round on that ride. Well at least she also remembers riding an airplane and watching some of her fave shows during our trip. (more…)

We went to Tagaytay last Sunday to scout for restaurants for Vera’s 3rd birthday celebration.  No, we’re not having a party. Just a simple salu-salo with our relatives.

Anyway, the husband promised the little girl that they’ll go horse back riding and so it was the first thing we did last Sunday.

Horse back riding and for rent bikes with side car are available beside Taal Vista.  Horse back riding ranges from 150 to 250 I think depending on how big the horse is and it’s good for 30 minutes.  I am not sure how much for the kalesa type and for the carabao ride :D Oh yes, there’s one carabao available there ;)

When we were planning for our trip, my brother asked me to get an international driver’s permit here so I could drive his car (since we wouldn’t fit in the van he rented). I had doubts but still got an international driver’s permit.

So ok, I lost count how many times I drove in Austria but if you know how to drive here, you can definitely drive there! And just like here in the Philippines, speed limits are seldom followed not only by Pinoys but everybody there. Besides, they know where those radar boxes are located. Weird!

Anyway, it was a holiday and we came from my cousins place. My other cousin warned my brother that there are a lot of police with radars at a specific place. My brother didn’t seem to bothered about this and since we are on a convoy, I try to go beyond the speed limit just to be able to tail him. He was running 120KPH at an 80KPH max speed hi-way so therefor, I was also running at 120kph like him. :D And even running at 120KPH, we were staying at the middle lane of the road so imagine that there were other cars faster than us.

so at one point, I saw a parked car at the shoulder lane. I thought there must be some kind of off roadside assistance going on. Too late to slow down when I saw this police concentrating and holding on a handheld radar. OH NO!!! Gotcha! *teehee* I don’t know if we were caught but my brother slowed down after that.

Halu! Got back from our vacation a week ago and I think the LDR I had with my laptop was a bad thing :D Obviously still have a jet-lag or I wouldn’t be writing at this hour. The little princess is still adjusting and fortunately she is somehow near end process. It’s my turn! Plus, I actually promised myself I should be back “working” again this Monday.

Short snippet of our trip.
